Thieving questions

Post by Matty »

I hate getting stolen from. Just wondering a couple things:

how do you guys secure your bag?

is there any weapons besides hallies thiefs can't steal?

can a thief polymorph into an animal and steal from you?

oh and how can i join a thieves guild?

you can either hide your bag/pouch under a load of newbied clothing or other junk, or you could use a player crafted lockable box

theres a few macing weapons that are too heavy to be stolen. mace, war mace and MAYBE maul but i cant remember.

i don't think polymorph has any effect on whether someone can steal from you or not.

go say '[name] join' to a thief guildmaster to join. there's one in a tavern somewhere in britain. i usually use the one in bucs den personally because its easier to find (building southwest of the healer across the bridge).

Is that just if you cast it in town, or if you cast it and then walk into town as well?

You can freely steal from the polymorphed, because as far as UO is concerned, they are attackable. You don't even have to be in the thieves guild to do it.

I just stole from an NPC while polymorphed into a slime.

Good luck with this character, it sounds hilarious.
