When I provoke a two balrons they both walk towards me a few tiles then start to fight.
I was hidden and about 3 to 5 tiles from the balrons today and I provoked them. What happened next was one of the balrons actually walks the 3 to 5 tiles and melees me twice then starts attacking the other balron.
Ive been killed by this over and over so I thought I would make a post about it.
Btw I have like next to no ping easily less than 50-70.
Balrons walking towards you after provocation.

Same thing also happens when I hide, Balrons & Teth Avengers walk a few tiles my way (after hidden)
Re: Balrons walking towards you after provocation.
Two things.
One, I've noticed daemons, when provoked and attacking something, will occasionally briefly lose focus and come after me, then turn back around and attack what I provoked them to attack. I can't say for sure if balrons have this same tendency, as I haven't provoked them recently.
Second, I actually have a better ping than you (25 or so) and I notice that some particularly speedy monsters (balrons and white wyrms) seem to "teleport" when coming after me. This, I think, is the cause of what you're seeing. Additionally, when I paralyze a balron, I find it ends up frozen a couple tiles closer to me than where I thought it was when I paralyzed it.
I don't necessarily think this is a bug, actually, but Derrick or Faust might be able to confirm if this is intended based on how the game handles movement and time.

I have noticed this same thing with Ophidians. After the provocation, the mob still heads towards me and smacks me once before fighting the other mob. This is a new experience for me.

Re: Balrons walking towards you after provocation.
Definitely can confirm this as well.
I will provoke 2 balrons, then one of them will sometimes "lose" their threat to the other, and run at me. It will attack the other balron if it casts a spell or hits it. I need to invis or hide for them to fully be aggroed to eachother. Its really not too much of a big deal, just makes things more interesting down in there.

Re: Balrons walking towards you after provocation.
maybe it has to do with the recent patch, where balrons/daemons were made to be more aggressive than before.
