After spending some time in the last few days searching for and researching various different free UO shards, I came across this one and decided it was for me.

Since UO is a social game, I thought I'd introduce myself:

I'm a former UO player from the Baja shard, I played the game from 1998 to 2002 and loved every minute of it. However, college and the deteriorating nature of the game catering to the lowest common denominator (whiny players) caused me to quit playing. I was a long time member of the Death JesteRs as the character Karina, and a long time member of No Mercy Ever (NME) as the character Brain. I started on this shard two days ago, and have been quietly macroing up my early money making characters so I can form a solid base to start from.

If anyone feels the need to talk to me or is feeling generous to help a starting player :) I'll be in the IRC channel as "Worldhunter".

Welcome to UOSA Worldhunter and Tracy. Newcomers are always welcome, and I'm sure you'll both find this shard to be as close to the real thing as possible, with one exception, the staff is better here!!

I don’t intend to steal the spotlight from you Mr. Worldhunter. With that said can someone reply to my message in this thread and tell me about what the pvp is like here? Before I left, the shard was transitioning into a double halberd hit shard. Is that still the case? And if it isn’t can whoever decides to be so kind and reply to this message, can you relate to the pvp now and how it was about 8 months ago when I played? I am attempting to make a comeback to the shard. Thank you very much! Enjoy your time here Worldhunter.

I'm pretty sure Pirul isn't real. Its just a reply bot that makes other bots look real.
