tried blade spirts seems to be slow gains.
tried fighters they seem to die quick,
any other ways to macro archery?

I know this is probably not the best/fastest/easier way but its the way I did it.
I went to a fairly obscure dungeon (so less interference), didn't really matter the mobs just anywhere I was able to setup in a corner.
I would have a healer behind my archer, and a box in front of my archer...and I would macro away...
make sure to put a bunch of logs or ore in the box/crate so it doesn't disappear.

I dropped a small house next to an Order Guard outpost then lured one in by attacking it, trapped the guard behind a table barrier and fired away while another character trained their healing up on the guard. They're quite resilient until all their armour falls apart.
Use store bought or worn out bows if you can find them - less damage per hit so less chance of killing your target.
