Fire Temple near Hythloth Spawn Incorrect

The spawn here seems incorrect to me, there should be something like a dragon (outside) 2-3 dragons (inside) and a drake or two (inside), a 2-3 daemons (outside) and a couple daemons (top) , about three to four fire elementals, and a wyvern.

If my memory serves me correctly i remember this as well, fire temple and destard was the two places i usually hunted at.

This really sounds like UO:R to me. I didn't spawn this area myself, nor was it based on my memory; but I spent a lot of time here, and a lot of it was goofing off between spawns. I do not recall seeing more than one daemon at a time in era, myself.

The difficult part of a lot of this stuff is it was different on each server. Does anyone have any fire temple screenshots from their server?

At the least, the place was also known as "daemon temple" also, there should be more daemons there at that location. It also seems the inside of the temple was locked in 1999, from the information I can dig up. However, I don't remember random spawns dropping keys, or the door being locked personally on my server (Atlantic). I do definitely remeber there being a dragon and a couple wyverns/drakes near the entrance and a a couple daemons on top for sure. The spawn there was pretty intense on Atlantic. It was a major PvP/PvM Hotspot, Bards, tank mages, pks, tamers, people house running to their nearby houses, and runnin through the jungle there fighting eachother; as well as recalling in and out all the time. On this server with the spawn the way it is now that place is empty. It's not really worth farming when there is only one of each type of creature and the inside of the temple is nearly empty.

I grabbed the spawn map text file from the Oct 1999 era, even though it doesn't necessarily go in line with the actual newsgroups postings or my description.

What server did you play out of curiosity?

I played on Atlantic also, and I don't remember there being a high spawn of high end monsters like daemons, dragons, drakes, etc. From my memory it seems just about right, although there may have been another drake or two.

I remember a fire elem east and west of the temple building itself, these respawned pretty quickly. Then 2 -3 daemons on the roof and a drake or a rare dragon and an occasional daemon on the inside.

I, too, remember the spawn described in the first post as being UOR.

I didn't play much during UO:R but it's possible that I was confused by the period changes. I have been playing UO for almost 13 years on multiple servers...

It would be nice to get some screen shots from in era or newsgroups postings -- so we can determine whether it is in actuality incorrect, whether it differed server by server, or whether it is absolutely correct. Screenshots anyone?

I personally remember a bunch of eles around the temple, a couple of daemons on the roof and a dragon inside (exclusive of other minor spawn).
a wyvern could spawn near the door on the right, but im not 100% positive. Chesapeake.

They are right. During my wedding, which was in mid 99 and was at the fire temple, a dragon spawned and was killed quickly by guests. I don't ever remember there being elementals there.

In fact, back then, the spawn was very minimal. We would actually have to wait around quite some time for spawn to pop up.
