Does anyone remember riding a horse and then suddenly it turning grey?
I'm a big skeptic, still, on the "your mount is very fatigued" accuracy - yes, it happened, but not on such a large scale. Whatever.
My point to this post is that i remember that the horse loyalty was VERY low without lore... and most new people would have some taming in their skill set to retame their horses constantly... I just remember it being 100% necessary to carry around pears/apples to make sure your horse was happy.

I have had this happen just once and it was the day the fatigue patch went into effect. Havent had a problem since with any purchased horses after the patch.
