Rose it should not be changed unless derrick wants to wipe the server some day and change the rules.
Since that isn't likely to change, it would just create such an imbalance. Not to mention you really do have family's like mine who more then one person in the household play the game.
Do not force people to use proxies to "get away" with it.
Gun control only causes criminals to have guns.

Gun control helps you shoot steady.

Re: Poll: Multi Clienting
While part of me likes this idea... I am not sure this would be fair to new players.
Every person in this thread, if not the entire forum has used multi-clienting/Razor to macro up their characters.
So now that we all have a stockpile of 7x characters created via multi-clienting/macroing, we are asking to remove this feature?
I don't macro my pk while my other characters are active. He is run overnight, so no change there. I could still own 15 houses or whatever the obscene amount is, so no change there.
I am not sure this makes sense, especially for how long this shard as been up.

Re: Poll: Multi Clienting
Just to recap for Tekai and Jimmy a bit...
Aye very good points sir's.
Tekai, it was a good analogy
. I discussed before about not limiting IP's per connection, but rather Clients per computer. Also I think Faust has come up with a decent script to prevent multi-clienting.
JimmyTheDriver, multi-clienting can harm and benefit new characters, you could weigh out the pros and cons about restricting multi-clienting and probably come out pretty balanced. I've suggested way's to transition with minimal pain like opening a new shard or doing a gradual transition over time.
There are always angles to consider.
Thanks for voting! Excellent turnout so far.

This is a brazen assumption.
It is important to understand that when a poll is conducted on a fraction of a population, that the data does have potential to express the general view of the entire population. It all depends on the amount of people polled and whatever other variable's are appropriate; In this case one of the variables is that only people who choose to access forums are polled.
What is the difference between those who use forums and those who do not?...
Not a whole lot. The Forum's user's may have been playing the game longer and may have a slightly varying opinion, but not enough to consider having a large impact on the poll imo.
When you want to find out what people in Texas like to drink at dinner, you can query them in a few different ways. The most effective being asking every single Texan, which come's at extreme difficulty and hence fourth is not a viable option in this case. You can conduct a random selected area survey in which you randomly select a certain amount of homes in a geographical area (that can best represent the whole), form a ratio, and use that data to represent the "average" Texan.
The point is that public opinion is never useless information.
Anyway, I apologize for the digression off the main topic. Let's keep them vote's rolling in, It aint over until the fat Dobb's sing's.

Re: Poll: Multi Clienting
Actually, its already over. Nothing will change based on this poll regardless of the results.
I was merely pointing out that the group being polled does not represent but a mere fraction of those who actually play on UOSA. This isn't popular opinion even if policy decisions were based upon popular opinion, which they are not.
This poll does not reflect popular opinion. It reflects the opinions of 79 people out of about 500 unique IPs per day, which is a paltry percentage of the players.
