On Sonoma there was a "blessed" player house (large brick) with a teleport to/from magincia. I found myself getting banned from this house at some point and found that when I used the teleporter I had free reign in the house as long as I didnt get within 3-4 tiles of the front door. If I went near the front door I'd be ejected. I don't think I ever walked into a gate from inside a house I was banned from on OSI, however it seems to me this would have also worked for evading house bans.

Here any tile in the house appears to check if you're banned and if you are you're kicked immediately, save for castle courtyards and the space between keep walls.

Can this be implemented here?

Regarding gating into private houses...

About 2 months ago some local idiots (and I mean Idiots with a capital
I) decided to turn pk. We found out about it so we paraded a couple
lootless newbies by their private house, and the idiots took the bait,
and the counts, and turned red. During this time a newbie char of mine
was walking by their private house and one of the idiots exited the
house and ran the other direction, without bothering to close the door,
or wait til the door closed. I knew they kept regs laying out, so I ran
inside before the door closed. The good news is that I grabbed over
1000 moss and 400 ash. The bad news was I was banned.


A few days later my banned char was ghost scouting the area, and the
idiots were sparring with summoned ele's. I watched for a bit, and all
of a sudden the mage idiot opens a gate, from inside, to just in front
of their steps (practicing magery I assume, and he immediately dispelled
the gate in his house). I thought "what the heck" and ran my ghost into
the gate. I appeared inside the house, and stayed inside the house.
Remember, I was not only not friended, I was banned. (I listened in on
them for a bit, and heard them discussing my char, and laughing about
how I was banned so wouldnt be bothering them again. I was _real_
tempted to show myself at that moment, but resisted .


Anyway, from my experience, a banned ghost char can enter a gate and end
up inside a private house from which that char was banned. I'm not sure
if my being a ghost affected anything. I assume not, but...

This doesn't necessarily mean that the guy was never removed from the list for obvious reasons... and would suggest having more info before making such a change to be sure.
