Wasn't sure where to post this... I don't play UO anymore, or this server, but when I find an article on the old days of UO its very interesting. Just thought I'd stop in and share this quick interview with all you UO diehards. Sorry if this is the wrong place!!!

On a side note; I don't know how many of you have actually logged in on an official shard recently but last year I created a free trial account and logged in on Catskills, my old shard, out of curiosity and the game has changed dramatically. Personally, it's horrible. Not to mention pretty dead. Feels like UOSA has more players online at peak than a standard OSI shard.

I still have an active account on GL. Its still very populated. I log in from time to time to re-stock my vendor, slowly consolidating everything there. =]

Might as well play WoW if you're playing UO on the official servers. UO is just a clone of WoW, with shitty graphics, less people, more frustrating PvP (GM runners aren't an issue in WoW) and a shitload less game content.

I hate WoW btw.

I played it for a month.. got PLed to 70 (back when it was the cap), started doing BGs and arenas and found out there was actually no FUN content in the game.. only more grind. My RL friend was crazy about the arenas, he has a 2400 rating or something, but he quit due to yet another patch extending the grind (the expansion released a few weeks ago).

I believe UO went the same way after AoS, hence it's just a bad clone of WoW now. Heck even pub16 added some boring grinding, with the introduction of powerscrolls.

Just an FWI... as of august this year UO has been considering an "CLASSIC" shard.. Pretty much like what uo second age is... its still under discussion if they will do it or not.
