I don't know if this every existed or still exists or what, but some confirmation or denial would be helpful. I believe that back in the day, UO put a system in place that you gain skills slower if you remain at the same location. I believe the point of doing this way to stop macroers and/or make macroing more obvious to counselors and GMs (if you see a guy walking in a circle for hours you can guess what he's doing).
I don't remember where I got this information, but ever since I have made my players move around a bit while macroing. And, it at least SEEMS to be that they gain faster. If you don't believe me try it and see what you think. Or macro in one spot for a while, then move and watch as you gain .5 really quickly. Does anyone know if this is just superstition on my part, or more?
