Is vet difficulty based?

I found this post http://forum.uosecondage.com/viewtopic. ... &view=next but it's almost exactly a year old.

Just wondering if I should be curing poison or large HP losses or if I can just have 2 animals fight and macro bandies on them.

Any help will be much appreciated.
