Its not even the double hits its the the damage of the hits that ruins the pvp

Psilo: Tourneys are not a "pure example of pvp" at all. They aren't even t2a accurate, you can't use refresh potions? Really?

Refreshes are important in mage pvp if you wanna keep your hally hitting fast.

Food only lasts so long.

I do remember being able to swallow refresh pots in a duel but u have to remember that this completly takes the hole point of the mace fighting skill out the game.

I also remember on a T2a shard that is no longer avalailble UOgamers Rebirth were u could cast through choas and order sheild so u could have parry mages.

The hally hit seems to have a large varey on the dmg
Min: 10
Max: 60
So u can still die from a double hit with greater strengh pot been swallowed

Rebirth was based on pre t2a. Nothing on rebirth was necessarily accurate either, it was developed by the creators of RunUO.

Max damage on a GM hally seems to be 55, with anat make that 66. Not exactly sure what the max damage on +25 vanq is, but I've hit people from 100% health to ~25% while they were weakened (with 0 anat). You can most certainly kill someone with a double hit from a vanq +25 even if they are fully str potted. Probably even with a heal pot inbetween, if you have anat. I wouldn't have an issue with any of this if it weren't for the bugged dexer double hits, at least you can see it coming from a mage. Dexer is just guesswork.

I still have yet to see a dexxer with a constant-armed weapon execute a double hit.

However, I did witness a giant serpent double-swing at me today in the ancient wyrm lair. It seems that monsters are also able to take advantage of this given the right circumstances in their swing timer.

According to my tables, the highest hit you can get from a GM halberd is 56 with a tank, 63 with a dexer.

With a +25 vanq, the highest you can hit for is 76 with a tank, 83 with a dexer.

These hits should occur 1 out of every 529 times.

Ive recently gotten well over 56 with my tank. I would say it was at least a 75hp hit with a crappy old force hally.

That's because after your first sentence i stopped reading because you lost all credibility with that retarded statement.

Archery was a viable SKILL. Nobody said anything about a "template". Archery did damage.. if your disagree you most likely didn't spend your Pre Uo;r da ys PvPing, and from that opening sentence.. you obviously didn't.

ahh then i retract my statement and must apologize. It just sounded so casual "Pre casting wasn't intentional either; perhaps we should get rid of that also" sometimes it's hard to detect sarcasm on a forum unless you put something around it to implicate /sarcasm

I just wouldn't have been surprised if someone here would say something like that.. i mean.. like i said, i've heard almost everything here

Wow. I was just stating that the that precasting was basically considered a "bug" by developers because it was an unintended element that shaped the pvp of T2A that we know and love. It was later removed in UOR. So if you want to get rid of other era accurate bugs, pre casting should be considered also. Obviously it wouldn't, precasting is the main element from T2A that keeps us playing here. Nothing I see you post is at all productive. You should learn to stop typing and learn to play the game.
When you started here you cried that your archery tank was trash. Era accurate QQ.
