AFK Fishing Macro Questions!

Nope, just can't AFK fish in deep water.

While technically fish and shoes are resources (fish steaks/cut leather), I don't think they have quite the economic impact MiBs do.

I think it's one of those things like begging. You're not going to make millions selling shoes and fish steaks and as previously stated, even if there were mass numbers of fishermen, there would be minimal impact on the Brittanian economy.

as far as I am aware though, begging does not create new resources. It basically allows an npc to give you gold that the npc currently has on hand. Is this not right?

Correct.

You can't simply afk begging on one NPC and get thousands of gold, they only offer as much money as they have in their inventory.

You'll get a couple hundred per NPC at the most. A pretty useless skill in my opinion..

Yes, from land you can, you cannot afk macro from boat.

You are allowed to fish from a boat so long as you have sight of the shore. One screen away from shore is considered deep water and is not allowed.

Note: AFK Fishing from shore is no longer allowed

Nay. This last patch changed where the "deep water" was, and some of it moved closer to the shore. After that patch went in, they outlawed ALL afk fishing. You cannot afk fish on a boat or from shore, regardless of where it is.

"Deep water" has been completely revised, and may even be reachable from shore in some places.
Due to this, it is no longer permissible to fish AFK from shore.

heh. Does anyone remember the series of screen shots from Atlantic server of the like... 10+ ghosts sitting in the small house outside Trinsic while the 2 people inside cyber'd. Now THAT was funny. Man, somebody find those screen shots.
