Re: Patch 66 - Oct 15, 2008
Those are some pretty good patches.
I like how tailoring is back in buisiness so to speak.
I have a few questions again though;
Is insta_res going to be a -always popup- or can i disable it from ever appearing cause tbh i hate popups especially in a moment of slight frustration such as death.
Though not to be nagging but you had not yet answered if you had looked into more and fixed the doublet layer issue?

and if i stomp my face into your fist, thats how i roll.

The closthing layer problem has not yet been addressed. The issue is bigger than doublets; all clothing items on torso and legs need to be gone through.
The third option on the insta-res menu will diasble the feature for that character.

Re: Patch 66 - Oct 15, 2008
EVs were most certainly not attacked by animals.
Energy vortexes were hard to understand, let alone control. It took me a long time to figure out how to operate them specifically because monsters did not attack them, rather they would go for the monster with higher int.
I'm pretty sure blade spirits were the same, but may have attacked things with higher strength, or maybe just proximity.

Re: Patch 66 - Oct 15, 2008
I don't believe they are attacked by animals. At least they shouldn't be. I am not certain but I think this patch is in reference to npc's that are aggressive only. For example, a lich would be aggressive towards you so it would also be towards your Energy Vortex. However, sheep aren't aggressive towards you so they would not be towards the summoned vortex. I am sure Derrick will clear it up.
PS
Energy Vortex attacks the closest target that has the highest combined magery and int, and they also should be dealing damage based off the same theory.
Blade Spirits, I am not 100% positive on, but I do know they attack the closest target. I also remember it being mentioned that they attack the closest target with the most dex, but I can't confirm this as of now.

EV's and BS's will only be attacked by agressive creatures
Range does figure into who both BS's and EV's will attack, and you are correct the Int for EV's and Str for BS's plays a big part in it

Re: Patch 66 - Oct 15, 2008
Okay I accidently said "animals" instead of "monsters", meaning aggressive NPCs.
They wouldn't attack Evs, this was added much later than T2A. I am sure of it. It took a lot of skill to use an EV because they would attack things, and not be attacked. It is why bards could use Evs so well, because they could provoke things onto it.
