What's so different now? Equipping/unequipping your halberd is a little bit more clunky?
yea it makes harm spamming a bit more difficult and pvp generally slower. if you whiff there's pretty much no chance to disturb
It doesn't make pvp slower, it only makes certain people slower. AKA the hally spammers.

If people would learn how to go more offensive, use explo/FS/lightning instead of just gheal/ebolt/harm/hally then there is no problem.

I love the new pvp, this object delay works in both ways. If you cast bigger spells on someone who has their hally up then it creates a delay for them to gheal. At the same time you can't try to unequip too fast or your spell will fizzle. There's other ways to interupt people and kill them before you even NEED to interupt them. UO was never about harm spamming, that's divinity and IPY....

You just need to learn how to adjust, I have no problem killing people since the patch. As a matter of fact I think it's easier to kill people to spam heal now, cause they get penalized for equipping their hally at a silly time(or too much like a dexer). Good for them, I win.

Btw, I am talking about field pvp. Tournaments are another story altogether and we should NEVER balance pvp around a tournament setting. There's a reason why tourneys have sudden death, it's because tourney pvp is so restricted that people have a harder time killing each other in any other way besides mana war/hally spam/luck.

Who was complaining or whining? I said that I no longer enjoy the way the server works in pvp related mechanics, so I will no longer play.

You guys love to throw retarded claims around at people when thats not even close to what was even said..

You made a whole thread where you and spanky can get together and threaten to quit the server unless you get your way? That's cute.

I don't see Spanky mentioned at all in the above thread.

I hate the change but value Derrick's stubborn goal to be accurate.

You 35 dex mages will never convince me that it was the norm back during T2A. Every mage had 100 int, and perhaps it is because of the mana regen rate. I am not positive meditation here checks for INT values (higher int gave bonus regen passive and while meddin).

The swinger overhaul still lingers over us, and we will all cry again, because we are accustomed to these timers and mechanics. I am pretty sure most of you will be back though :)

On a tangent, I feel like magery recast delays are too slow, especially if you get disrupted.

this isn't the case? i always put cunning items on while im farming stuff like AW because i thought it was increasing my med speed (at least i did that on osi, and always believed it was giving me faster mana regen).

and yeah 35 dex here is only wtfawesome because it gives you a superfast wrestle timer. i think when the swing timer patch goes through, 35 dex will not be nearly as useful.

Faust can comment on this, I believe it's supposed to be shorter. We'll see.

I duno about everyone else, but after getting used to it, this is getting closer to how I remember PvP.
I am extremely satisfied with the current fixes and looking forward to the combat system rehaul to really get us playing more

I think like everything else, we have to get adjusted to some of the changes

We have been playing a false version of UO for so long that we have forgotten how mechanics are supposed to function, so of course it's going to feel weird and wrong.
RunUO has warped our brains

I don't remember spam casting, at all. People knew about 1-3'rd circle spells, they weren't a mystery, they just weren't used.
I think UOSA is getting closer and closer to accomplishing true era accuracy when it comes to the Player vs Player mechanics.
Perhaps now it will take haste and high level spell combinations (other than the oh so skilled eb *hally* eb) which will make fights much more interesting

truly elite players would be able to deal with a step towards proper t2a pvp. and who considers you all truly elite? the tournament community? you guys are good at pvp, but your leaving won't have an impact any different than it did last time.

If you're leaving, just say goodbye and we'll see you when you return.

Spell recast should be two ticks(0.5s) but will sometimes feel like the current 3 ticks(0.75s) after it's fixed. The delay has went back and forth between 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0 before the tick based system was implemented and currently sitting at the RunUO default of 0.75s. Now the delay can range anywhere from 0.75s to 1.0s depending on the server processing. Since the tick system is fixed there is no need to keep it at the RunUO default of 3 ticks.

Spell disruption delay should not exist here and has never once existed on the production shards.

Both are two requirements/relationships that need to be included with the swing timer patch just like the action delay fix being discussed here.
