Re: Welcome house for newcomers

Post by niqeo »

We are still waiting on House visits to hit 1100.

I have seen and spoken with plenty of new players as of late and continue to advertise and stock this new player house. There are now 4 (instead of one) vendors which will still carry the same helpful items for newcomers as well as EVERY spell now (WAY cheaper then vesper mall). If you are missing any spells, check it out before they are gone and need to be restocked. I see that people still continue to throw misc. items within the crates to help the newcomer. Thanks guys!

Remember, if you see some players around this area they are probably new, PKing them will not benefit you and may only cause them to dislike or leave the shard. We want to expand and hopefully as UOSA grows, so will the benefits.

The Humanist Imperium might be interested in taking this over. We will be putting up our guild city shortly and this would make a wonderful addition.

The sad part is that I got less and less time to do things here, so I am looking for someone to take over it.
This has not been confirmed and I am still running everything while Lo has been away. In fact it has been greatly improved already. This is in need of further discussing...

Like stated above, not saying no, however everything has been continuing along (with the exception of Lo's one vendor) as I have complete access and control over everything as well.

As you can tell, the newcomer crates have been filled again with much more then usual.

Come check out the newest addition to helping the new community! I have expanded "the new player house" located at the west cotton field moonglow. The "House of Hi" is already pretty packed with lots of items for new players and cheap scrolls and combat packs. As I stated earlier, I would have items of magic available for little to no cost and many free items for newcomers to begin training. Due to space I made a seperate house with the same function just up the road. Here you will find many magical items available, as well as kegs with lesser healing, lesser cure, and lesser refresh potions FREE to use while you combat those graveyards. Enjoy newcomers!

Oh I forgot to mention, I also locked down a book to MANY reg locations to buy regs from town vendors. Sorry...really tired..spent ALL day making this house ready for you guys. Please let me know what you think of the prices. There is a ballot box on the porch where you may vote. Thanks again guys.

I'm new to the server, and I wanted to say thanks for helping me start out :) I'm sticking around that area to help level up my skills. By the way, does anyone know what's up with the candy shop house? I went in there, curious with what was inside, and some guy chased me out and killed me  I guess I wasn't a welcomed guest. The odd thing was that I called for guards but none showed up. There was a message that said I was under the protection of guards, so I dunno what happened with that.

Houses are never under the protection of town guards. Also, if you're in a house in which you are not friended, you may be attacked by friends/owners owners (you will be grey to them), therefore you would not be able to run back to town and call guards on them.

Would you like for me to help provide a vendor that sells gm crafted crafting tools at the same price or lower than town vendors for regular items? Let me know.

Is this House still there? I can't seem to find it, and I noticed the last post in this thread was in 2008.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The house is there. The services are not.

To whomever owns this place now: I'd be willing to buy it off you for a reasonable mark up, and make it a welcome house again.
