[Problem] Using mIRC to be in the server channel

Hello!

I have a problem, I downloaded IRC when I started playing on this server I've only been a trial user of IRC, and even when my trial had "run out" I could still use it if I just waited 30 seconds then IRC would start, but now it tells me I've used up my days and I have to pay for it.
Now that is something I don't really feel like doing since I only use it for be in that one channel every now and then.

Does anyone have a tip for me on how to solve this? Is there a free IRC program out there that everyone is using? I can't imagine that every single player on this server has paid for IRC tbh !
