Passive Meditation Gains

Post by Izual »

I noticed Meditation doesn't go up passively.

85 Magery and still stuck at 10 Meditation... Though meditating after every cast.

Was this changed or was it always like this?

Passive meditation was added after '99.

The best possible yield for a gain is based on (100 - Meditation Skill) = Percentile value of your Int. With your situation standing at 100 Int the best chance at gaining will be at 90 mana and anything far beyond that will virtually give no possible chance of ever gaining(reason you are stuck).

Just always adjust your "if mana < xx" to match what Faust said. It goes up pretty quickly although it might be tricky for your situation now.

I typically will add half the mana of a spell amount onto the logic 'if' statement when concentrating on meditation.

This will yield a better gain ratio over the long run.

I simply dont understand all the complaints about gaining meditation. If you just do some simple math, and adjust your mana value in the macro whenever you think of it you will gain easily. I have made 5 GM meditators since the change and every one of them has GM'd meditation before they get to 90 magery.

yea med is easy but i'm surprised you gm med before magery :o

mine is usually about 94 when I gm magery then i just drink to gm or finish it while i do resist

to the OP: the easiest way to get it past 10 is to buy it to 30

I'm not complaining, simply asking a question.

And med is the easiest skill to gain if you know how to get gains..

For someone that doesn't kno, and is just 'casting on self' and medding at the end of the mana dump, will get literally zero gains..

So it helps to know how it works, which is why I asked.

-Thanks for the helpful information for those of who posted it.

Thank you so very much

I was running out of ideas..

I did Meditation on my char over a year ago when I guess it was passive and Gm'd it quickly.

But i've got 2 characters @ 90 Magery, one at 10 Meditation and the other at 50, and it's not moving whatsoever

I've tried everything from casting all my mana, then medding, casting 1 spell, then medding, the magic hat trick.. nothing!

so thank you!
