The only way to prevent being looted is to use your head and set up security. If you got looted the fault is on you and no one else.

thx for that "stating the obvious" comment...fhcilitator wrote:The only way to prevent being looted is to use your head and set up security. If you got looted the fault is on you and no one else.
I dont blame anyone here for tricking me, im only interested in preventing to get looted on a regulary basis. So maybe you can give me a hint how it happened, instead telling me its my fault, what im fully aware of. So i can prevent it next time...
Im sure that a char looted my stuff that was logged out in the tower before i bought it. I bought this tower from you.
Now my stuff is gone, i learned a lesson. Now it will stay private...and you can save your arrogant phrases...for someone else...

Re: Another "my house got looted" thread
I know this is probably clear to everyone at this point but i do feel that i should just restate this.
The house is absolutely not secure from some player logging into it if it is public. If public, any character that logged out in another house that stood there (even if that char logged out there over two years ago) will Not be ejected from the house.
If the house is private any characters who logged out in that house (or anywhere above it) will be ejected on login.

Good to know, I have heard a lot of people telling me this is possible however I've never gotten it to work, guess theres a reason whyDerrick wrote: If the house is private any characters who logged out in that house (or anywhere above it) will be ejected on login.

moral of the story, detect hidden, use trash barrel, detect hidden, use tables, DETECT HIDDEN, as whoever looted your house, stealthed in

Im sure that the one looted my house found another way to get in. Maybe you would like to read the thread ?Kryptonical wrote:Good to know, I have heard a lot of people telling me this is possible however I've never gotten it to work, guess theres a reason whyDerrick wrote: If the house is private any characters who logged out in that house (or anywhere above it) will be ejected on login.

Re: Another "my house got looted" thread
No where in there did you say that you used detect hidden. Kryptonical made a true statement, use table walls(like you said you did) and use detect hidden(which you never mentioned).Your_Ugly_Mom wrote:Im sure that the one looted my house found another way to get in. When I was looted I swore no one was in there, but I never used detect hidden. Stealth is a powerful house looting tool.

Re: Another "my house got looted" thread
Im just wondering why you think it had to be the old owner loggin in a char that was already in the house? could it just be that someone stealthed it? cA is great for that.

To recap this thread (Again), the problem was that this house was Public.

I am sorry you got looted. Please refrain from playing the blame game next time. I am abandoning this thread.
