Forensics skill

Post by Imp »

It should tell, if a person is in thieves guild, but atm, at skill level near 40, it never does (target is a real thief).
How high it should be here to work this way?

The minimum skill is 40 I believe.

I did not really see it work much untill about 50-60 skill.

A question here for aspiring thief hunters, is there any way you can tell whether thieves are perma greyed or not? Like, if you attack someone just because you've discovered they're in the thieves guild, isn't there a chance they might not have stolen anything since they last died and you get guard whacked?

I think its more to let you atack them out side of the guards zones, sure you will go grey but you wont get a murder count.

Skill started working on people at about 50.
Still, many failures at 50 (you can not determine anything useful).

It also gains from non-thief characters, that was a confusion :)
Can gain it at a player's vendor.

0.1% used to allow you to tell who thieves were. I think...

It wasnt exactly 0.1, it was a guaranteed gain, when you targeted a thief with 0.1 forensics - you would 100% gain off thief, and would have no gains off non-thief.

This is not working this way here.

I guess that would be tricky to implement... no biggie. Small stuff that requires more attention atm, but it's good to let em know for later :)
