Be advised!

Post by Rok'Zurg »

This place use to be a good vending house. Not anymore, the owner of this house is scamming you. I bought that spell book (yup should have ID it) and it had no spells in it what so ever. My follish mistake, but just letting the community know of this scam before you buy from this place.
Here's a pic before I bought it.

It's my house, and I assure you that I am not, and never will scam anyone. The owner of that vendor is the player ReDRuM. I was a bit skeptical to let him place a vendor, but he seemed excited and promised he would not scam anyone. It was a mistake of judgment on my part.

I have called him out on scamming twice, and both times he has promptly removed the offensive items (first time it was spellbooks, the second time it was "deadly poisoned" halberds). I guess he thought that I just meant "remove them for a day or two until I forget."

So, for the record -- DO NOT BUY FROM THE VENDOR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STEPS. All other vendors are solid, so don't ignore them. The other vendors are owned by me, Blackfoot, Diloskar, and Blondie. Blondie maintained the real scribe vendor inside the shop, in the top-right corner. If you see spellbooks there, trust that they are legit. I currently do not have a poisoning vendor up, so if you see any poisoned items available at the shop there's a good chance they are scams.

Sadly, I have no way of removing a vendor owned by someone else in this era. One of the few updates EA/OSI actually made later on (that was helpful) was the ability to kick out scamming vendors placed inside your shop.

Since the vendor is on the steps it may not matter, page Derrick and ask if it is possible for him to remove the vendor.

You never know.

GMs will not interfere in that matter.

Problem has been taken care of, although it will be a day or so before things are set back up.

Thank you Coffee for letting Us (me) know of what the situation is concerning that vendor. I always knew you were a respectable and honest dealer. It's a shame that others take advantage of good folk to purposely or inadvertantly smear ones good name. Glad you took care of the matter.
Now I wonder if the GM's would put in a fail safe method to get rid of this problem? Could they make it that when a freind or co-owner is taken off the house list that within 24 hours their vendor will delete or no more items can be placed on said such vendor? Just a thought.

Interesting. I was there, looking through that vendor, and someone with that name killed me as I was shopping. I didn't think anything of it, but hearing that it's his vendor makes it kind of weird...

Ahh, your harping on the scammer too much. I understand it's someone else shop and all and hey im glad you didn't want your name smeared all over the place. The guy is doing things legitimately... it's up to you to choose to buy from him or not.
NO! nooooOO! ....Hot, hot!
