GM tracking issues

It's an issue regarding tracking ( More than likely at GM level. ) Is it possible to track someone(A player) from an entirely different dungeon? I had a character on the other day and was tracked, then revealed, right down to the exact corner of the part of the room I was in. I won't name names cause my point isn't about what happened It's -how- it happened. It was obvious in my eyes the moment they showed up on screen, that for them to find me out of all the rooms there, was in no way possible that quick without having known I was there to begin with.

Point being. GM tracking a little too strong? I don't see it fair that someone can track you from an entirely different dungeon, to the dungeon you're in. That's crazy.

You were ghosted.

PKs park ghosts in dungeons using their alternate accounts and watch for people to start farming. When they think you are ripe enough, they come kill you.

They knew right where you were because their ghost account had been watching/following you.

It was a group of about four that all rushed in together, though, with one blue there that ended up blocking the hallway out. Seems like a whole lotta effort for a measely bard.

Bards are juicy targets though because they make good money in dungeons. And most PKs work in teams anyway to ensure a kill. They all probably had ghosts in various dungeons. They patrol together and use out of game communcations (team speak, vent, etc). They coordinate and pounce.

I would bet all of my UO gold that you were not tracked and killed, but ghosted and killed.

Next time you are hunting, gate an alternate character there and have them stay there as a ghost. That way, while you are hunting, you will notice if other ghosts are running around watching you. If you see another ghost, keep your finger on the recall button.

Just a tip. A "real" tip that doesn't require you to load a ghost client. Keep magic reflection up at all times (seriously), keep at least 1 trapped pouch. Stay alert. Follow those 3 steps and you won't get PKed, ever (unless stealthers come in and jump you superfast).

It's extremely easy to recall away in 90% of all situations (unless you are in a no-recall zone in the Tera Keep, then yes you may have some struggles)
