That's what she said.

Honestly, a quality answer made by a respectable player who truly cares for the community enough to take the time to debate about something that effects everyone.

Sometimes I wonder why I decided to take a break after all..

If money is the #1 issue then you cant afford Town add-ons anyways....
Seems reasonable to me.

If K^A really needs money then they will throw a tournament with 1k entry fee, and collect gold from their guildmates to help pay for the 100k 1st prize or whatever for a tourney.

If K^A can't come up with money to pay for a tournament they host, they will help them keep their ad-ons then clearly it's true what they say. K^A may very well be a guild in shambles, just a large guild chat with hardly a "true guild feel".

Just a quick question, how many ppl use our rune library? how many ppl shop our vendors?

so K^A doesnt hold leet pvp tournys, but we do hold resist sessions very often! and now we are planning a event to make peopel happy, and we are getting flamed for it?

what else can K^A do to help the shard? if you want us to hold animal fights then by all means we will.

NEVER have i once seen a innocent pked in out town. Yes we pretty much attack anyone in a enemy guild that comes in tho. but we do that because nightly we are getting attacked by r-,Zsv,Pov,SoA,TG. Do we not have the right to defend ourself? im sorry if your in one of them guilds and wasnt looking for trouble. but look at it from our point of view.

And yes this thread should either be about all shards in general, not just K^A, or it should get moved to trash talk. Becasue all it has turned into is a bitchfest/

I dont beleive we need money, with the event we are planning that isnt a leet pvp tourny, just last night i saw 50k being donated in just 10 mins, from just 3 ppl.

I dont see how you can keep saying we are in shambles? Remind me what PoVs done?

One simple solution: Delete them all. Well maybe not all, UoH and $$$ have earned their eye candy.

Honestly this whole system is taking time away from admins that they could spend on more important issues, and it's taking away from the accurate feel in-game.

Add-ons do not make the game more enjoyable to play for the average player.

I'd really like to see a list compiled of all well known custom add-on locations on OSI.
I'm sure its something like less than a dozen locations, spread across a dozen shards, over a period of years. Not just two years, either.

--

You don't need add-ons to put a rune library or vendor house together.
This thread should be about the state of the add-on system as a whole, because its broken.

If you delete most of the eye candy, might as well delete it all.

Seems like KA already missed the boat, what have they done in the last year to enrich the community?

Me and Dark Radiance run one of the most trafficked rune libs on the shard, do I deserve roads, a cotton field and a stable?

Delete it all, I don't care.
I do believe that $$$ and UoH have earned their add-ons, though.

What is the function of eye candy?
Would in-game rares be considered eye candy?

This is probably the most research i have ever done for any reason here at least 10 minutes:P cause I think these towns are important Here area few things I have found (some are about gm's job in general some town specific. Im also goign to take tons of quotes out of context to support stuff) wink jk

Videric: To clear exactly what you do, could you tell of your duties as Interest Game Master (IGM) for Ultima Online and are you only at European servers or American ones too? Also could you tell how your job changed with the end of the volunteer program?
-------------------
IGM Talos: I used to work very closely with the volunteers on the European shards, facilitating their events as best I could. I would build them scenery and locations as well as create them characters to use in order to provide as realistic as possible event scenarios.

On top of all this I run as many in-game events as I possibly can, I absolutely love doing this, and it is important for players to see that events and quests are still constantly occurring.

IGM Talos: Player run establishments are a phenomena that I believe stand for many of the best qualities of Ultima Online. They bring people together in a unique manner, and a strong bond is formed between these people. The social dynamics of such places is fascinating, and the sense of community is for me part of the magic of UO. There will always be a future for player run establishments.
---------------
Also says here gm blessings were no longer available with the advent of customizable housing which means all player ran establshimengs were done during the t2a perido or jsut following

Atlantic - Avalon blessed city (ran fight nights, had a rune library and vendors it says)
baja also had an avalon
We have been debating for a while about this; are ethereal llamas soft and furry like normal llamas, even if they look transparent?

Ethereal Llamas are indeed soft and furry. The problem is they do spit like normal llamas, but being transparent it is difficult to tell if you are wandering around covered in llama spit or not.

eurpoa - town called valoria
and deep water
great lakes - red devils kazolas

In general, a PRT is just that – a town run by players. Most usually it is a group of player owned buildings grouped together in a specific area. Generally, each building in the area has a specific purpose that contributes to the community. The main characteristic of any PRT is that it contributes in some way to the entire community of the shard.

How many buildings are required to be considered a town?

There is no minimum or limit to the number of buildings. There can be different namings used depending on the number of buildings. Currently, two shards, Catskills and Chesapeake, are using the following guidelines:

1-4 Settlement
5-10 Village/Hamlet
11-20 Town
21-30 City
31-50 Kingdom/Empire/City-State

What type of recognition will be granted?

Currently, in addition to the availability of Banners and Teleporters at the Fairgrounds, a banner is being placed in each PRT naming it an officially recognized PRT.

explains what chesepak and catskills are doing for their blessed palyer ran towns

----

So those player ran towns are the ones i could find that were blessed in my 10 minutes of browsing (kazolas and red deivls i have been to in game)

This shard probably already has more custom add-on tiles than all of the OSI servers put together during the T2A period.

Alright..

How many guilds do we have here that fit this paragraph?
Oh thats right, the add-on system is based on opinion. Silly question..
