Escortables in Cove

Post by eyesdearth »

I don't know how intentional this is, but Cove seems to be somewhat overloaded with escortable spawns. I can walk around Cove for 5 minutes, and walk out with at least 5 escortables, most of whom want to go to a dungeon (3 seekers of adventure, a noble or mage, and a bride being the usual loadout), meaning I can walk them right to Covetous for easy money.

Given the size of Cove, not only does it seem like there are too many such spawns, but they also refresh too quickly, since then I can come straight back and find 5 more. The seeker of adventure spawns seem to only take like 30 seconds to generate a new one after I grab the one that was there. I do a circle around the town and there's another one in the same spot.

Maybe this isn't an oversight, and somebody wants it this way? In that case, Cove is easily the best way for new accounts to make money.

One walk from Cove to Covetous tends to net me 900ish gold. That's usually about 3 payments, so I guess 300ish each. It's better money than cotton if you figure in no waiting.

Cove and N'Jelm were hot spots for escortables in era. Apparently everyone's looking to get out; possibly for the lack of public moon gates.

Ocollo was also a big hot spot for nobles and seekers of adventure. They hung out near the Counselor's Guild, and were an extremely good source of money and items when I origonally started. They used to be killed by using enticement on them and dragging them outside of town, and then stealing their gold and then killing them off.

Did you get a chance to look into the docks of Cove being out of the guards protection Derrick?

There are A LOT of missing escortables in Jhelom/Scarabrae, I ran them a lot for escorts back in the day.
