blue PKs

Post by Oneiros »

Are blue PKs common on this shard? Is there a list of known blue PKs somewhere? Thanks. (My brother and I, both very new, just got rocked by a blue, I just want to know if this is something I need to be wary of consistently)

I've killed 47 people (who have accually counted me) on my tamer and never gone above 2 counts.

Many people who are PVP'ers but not yet at the point of being established and wealthy enough to go red often kill and stay around 4 counts.

so yes, you will get attacked by blues at dungeon farm spots, idoc's and pretty much anytime the time is "right"

Yeap there are plenty of blue pks about. No list I'm afraid. Just treat everyone you meet as a potential theif or murderer and be prepared to fight or flee at a moments notice. Of course not everyone is out to get you but better to be safe than sorry.

Blues regularly pking isn't much of a problem here (anymore). When longterm murder counts were added we saw a drastic decline in blue pks.
Under the current system, a pk is given a longterm murder count which lasts 40 hrs, 5 or more of these and he is red. In order for a pk to stay blue, they would only be able to kill a little less than one victim every day and a half....or slightly more than four in a week (24*7/40)...even that would require the player to keep that character logged in constantly and relog in every morning shortly after server restart.

Needless to say, if you make habit of pking, you'll probably go red.

I've been attacked by pretty much every blue I've seen in the wilderness. My character has 65 fencing and 58 healing (my 2 highest skills). I'm pretty obviously a noob by what I'm equipped with and my paperdoll. People must just be really desperate to kill someone. Still haven't died

The answer is yes because immaturity is the leading cause of basically everything in UO.

If you actually played this shard your opinion might matter.

What have you contributed to this shard?

Oh, that's right...

I have never claimed to contribute anything to this shard other than actually logging in. I play. I type in my username and password on a regular basis, double click my character and run around Sosaria interacting with people. What do you do? You, apparently, would rather read and talk about the game instead of playing it. I dont have endless amounts of time to sift through 12 year old websites, looking for miniscule details regarding swing timers and horse stamina. Since this appears to be your hobby i'll take a stab in the dark and assume you don't have much of a real life, which is fine. We need losers like you to sort out the code so the rest of us can actually play the game.

Now, i'll end this here because i'm not trying to take this thread off topic or get it moved to the Trash Talk forums.

See you in game, oh wait, nevermind.

The point is that you offer 100% trash to this server compared to me. Sure, there is trash coming out of my responses from time to time. However, the majority of the time it's responding to trash in these incidents. Do we really need to go down that unoriginal internet your life is nothing routine? We have already been there before. I am not ashamed of my life one bit. I have a great job working in a government agency's finance department. The majority of my research is done here at work. I have a wife and two kids while going pursuing my bachelor's and thereafter master's in computer science specializing in computer programming.

There is no point in making the "see you in game comment" as we both know you are never on during my hours. Marm and you both made this comment today but where were you Saturday and Sunday night? Let me guess... Were you in bed too?

Everyone needs to stop raging on forums...this is a discussion board, and UO is just a game. You'd all feel alot better if you vented your frustrations out light heartedly. IRL most of us live in a sorry excuse of a world maybe have some heavy $#!% going on in their lives, like you most of us come here to escape it.

People need to seperate their behavior in game from their real life and in forums. If you feel the need to rage...all you need to do is log in and let it out. Let UO be your catalyst.

Beat us up there :D, Hate the nameless guy that killed you/you killed more then (insert problem here) and forget about life for awhile.
