Re: How did you find SecondAge?
I heard about it from a friend that heard about it from a gamesite when we have not played UO in so long and we wanted to find a true T2A server and thats what led me to Second Age the best shard out here I must say.

Well im a very old uo vet who had not played uo in years and a friend of mine came to my house literally putted a gun to my head and said to me to play some shard he thought was cool, so i used my army skill to disarm the gun gave him a open hand slap in the face, turned around and logged in.
So thats how i got here.

Re: How did you find SecondAge?
Funny story, watched a hour long show on National Geo HD about MMORPGS (becuase i played uo for years). BTW, great show if anyone sees it, no mention of UO but some very interesting topics about health and life in general for people who get addicted to these games. It talked alot about city of heroes and how they use some eastern European country to power build people's chars for them for real world cash and are very successful at it. (anyone playing UO back in the day can relate since most of what we had did have real world value to it)
Another piece on a guy who took out a morgage on his house to buy a $100,000 US dollar virtual space station in a MMORPG i have never heard of.
He plans to sell shop space and the virtual apartments in it for cash and he is expecting to netbetween 100K and 1M from it....
anywho........ after all that i couldnt help but to wonder if there were any new games out similar to UO. Went to MMORPG (didnt even know it was a site, but figured something would be there) and saw all the released and upcoming games. Nothing really caught my eye and just before i went back to work i saw a UO forum.
Had to check it out. Read a ton of posts about people saying how bad uo sucks now and begging for a "classic server", in one of the posts someone suggested the only way to play a classic server was on a free shard.
I had no idea these existed (especially as close to a mirror of the real thing).
Which lead me to google, and then probably a top 200 page or something (not sure) which lead me to, umm, well, here.
Whhhehh, that was long.

Re: How did you find SecondAge?
Hoots.. bastard found this place and reached out to me to get me hooked again. We used to run together WAY back in the old school days on Pacific. Long live old school UO. Unlike him I've played almost every MMORPG that came out between then and now (EQ 1 and 2, Shadowbane (would have been great without the massive problems), WoW, <insert other lame attempt to recreate old school UO game here>). Nobody could recreate the freedom that this game had when it first came out. The lack of rules and structure was what made this game great and everyone that came along tried to make it a time sink instead of realizing people just wanted to have fun in a game without the work.
