Great thread, but it kind of reminds me of why I prefer the pre-T2A era much more.

Mostly because its where I started the game and grew up in it.. People didnt NEED to be 7xGM it wasn't even an option with no skill locks. +80 Magery was great, Heavy Xbow PVP was fun IMO, in fact I created an archer when archery first became patched into a useful combat skill, and wow.

I remember rocking the heavy Xbow and after a shot taking it off to toss an ebolt then putting that heavy xbow back on, and I was a casual! Also wearing full plate while doing this :)

This 7xGM mage/resist/eval/meditation stuff really made character creations a lot more bland and expensive and macro intensive.

Hello everyone!

I am new to the shard and my character in the game is Fede, and I have been playing UO off and on for quite sometime, when you could run and cast fireball. Anyways, in regards to this shard I have a ton of questions. First off, I am making a provocation character, and I want to know which dungeons are most profitable for such a character. Also, in regards to swordsmanship and tactics, what is the least time consuming way to raise these skills in this shard? I have been sparing, fighting zombies, and skeletons, however I would be an old man by the time I hit Grandmaster. What is the best pvp template? When I played t2a under Orgin servers it was the hally combo mage. Finally, I want to know about the staff a little bit. How open are they to critism? I have played throughout the entire t2a era on Orgin Catskills, and I have some knowledge including some of the attributes of the era. Therefore I just want to know if I would get shot down if I said something to them. Thats everything I can think of right now. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone on the shard.

Thank you,

Fede

Covetous or Shame can be pretty profitable, but also crowded with PK's, be sure to be able to recall out at a moments notice.

It's hard to answer which PvP template is better, given that everyone has different playing styles. Some will go for the hally mage, and others for a dexxer, to each his own.

Staff do not take criticism well, they will take over a dragon, or create a Black Lich and slay you by shooting true black lasers from their eyes, and lightning from their fingertips. (j/k, staff here is great, super friendly and open to any type of discussion)

BTW, is Fede short for Federico?

I have found something "missing" !

In Deceit Level 1, when you walk in on the left was a room with a Brazier.

It is a magical summing brazier, when you use it/double click it a random monster/animal used to spawn. It was always fun to finally farm it and hit something really deadly, lead it to the entrance, hide and wait for luls. Nobody expected anything too serious here...well, other than PKs

We're currently working on getting some of the more obsure objects in game; These summoning braziers and trophies have had to be written from scratch; and details you can give on specific locations of these would be very appreciated.

Sure thing, Next time in I'm Deceit I'll post a picture of exactly where it was, and details how it worked.

Heck I may have an old episode where we spawned a nightmare and led him all around to fatten him up!

Just got on the server for the first time in over a year. Took a break, ya know. Anyway, is the status bar client side? Cause it looks like UO:R or even later. I used the dl on the site for the game. I'd prefer the status bar to look normal.

I think this server is great though. T2A is a wide swath and there's room for argument, it was what 2 years of game era? One thing, skill locks did come in T2A at the end cause I remember having them and I quit after t2a.

If you open Razor, go to Options and check 'Use pre-AOS Status Window' it might be more to your preference.

Was about to post that this was actually a newer addition to the game because I knew tamers used it to get fire steeds to spawn (AOS)
But after doing abit of research I found that it was actually there earlier, atleast during UO:R.

Information I could find was that it had a reuse timer of 15 minutes and randomly spawns any monster, from mongbat to dragon or even a balron. But NO
T2A creatures.

Since this server utilizes xmlspawner this can be setup quite simply with a proximityactivated -1 spawner and a SimpleSwitchableItem

There's a few of these types of items which should be in dungeons, they have been sitting in a half implemented state for some time now; Hope to have them in soon.

Holy S&!%, I remember Barry Manilow on Atlantic, you were one hard sob to kill. You used to hit the the orc fort near cove if I'm not mistaken.

I'm from a guild of anti's that were kinda like keystone cops but we had a lot of fun doing it. Not sure if we ever got you though.... its been a while and my memory isn't that good.
