Issue with RESIST gain today???

Greetings all:

I was macroing three characters today in t2a and burned through about 1000 each FS regs...

I was quite suprised to see what I gained off those regs today....

CHAR 1:
mage 99.9 +1.2
resist: 87.8 +0
eval 83.7 +5.0

CHAR 2:

Resist 98.5 +0

CHAR 3:
mage: 92.4 +5.4
resist: 77.3 +0
eval: 66.3 +8.2

All three characters didn't gain ANY resist. I am positive that the skills are not locked, and there is either room for more skill or in the case of my gm mage I have one skill set to lower.

What the hell is going on today? This issue is going to cost me..... Gold, and a lot of time because time = gold.

There was a big fucking message when you logged in on every char that said there was changes to SPELL CASTING and RESISTING SPELLS IN TOWN. Maybe if you hadnt clicked past it you would have a fucking clue...

Seriously. This morning when I logged in Derrick told me personally though

Man don't get too excited over it... She gives me so much grief about this game...... And she doesn't even know I was truly "addicted" at one point in my life. If she knew that I would be in UO Rehab again.. AKA the backseat of a... well thats another story.

I tried to contact everyone I could in game this morning that I saw macroing resist in case they missed it. I'm sorry that everyone didn't get the word.

No problem, I was in t2a and only started around 11:30est..

Only about 2000 regs to total waste (other chars gained skills) no biggie at all for me.


What bothers me more is that there will be people that never got the chance to get resist the very easy way.... now it is only, err, easy? hehe a little unfair but I am still trying to live with myself for buying a keep a few days after the secure chest on steps was taken out.. That killed me.

To be real though its not THAT bad. I already have a character with almost GM healing/anat, and no eval int cause I thought resist couldn't be trained in town when I started here. You'll be waiting on mana anyways, might as well bandaid up. I wonder if we'll see more training on boats near town lines now. I know my pvp'er will be on the look out for those casting from outside town lines

i noticed in patch it said you cant gain resist if both the caster and receiver were in guarded zone.

does this mean the caster can stand out side of guard zone and cast into town. effectively creating the same method of gain as b4?

yes, just find a bank like yew or whatver that you cn open your bank box from outside guard lines, and do the restock 2 regs at a time adn cast it on your char inside the guard lines, will work exact same way except your caster can more easily be pked

You could cast it on yourself than? If you're outside of town...
