should lockpicking really be this hard?

Post by Deja vu »

I am wondering why I am not gaining skill. This is a new character I started with 50 lock picking I created an alt character with 50 tinkering and 50 carpentry to make a box I could practice on and after 8 hours of it I have not even gained .1 skill.

I currently have not trained any other skills other than .4 meditation that happened before I could lock the skill.

my skill is set up (checked it multiple times) ... am I doing some thing wrong?

all so I wanted to say that I have not seemed to lost s single lock pick in that whole time... I even made sure and did a lot of it buy hand. I still have not gained a single .1 from a tinker crafted box.

I think the box may have been too easy. Try making a few boxes, the lock level on them does randomize a little bit, if that doesn't work, you may need to train up tinkering a little.
