Has anyone had luck setting up macros with Razor that will do Lumberjacking and carpentry combined? I've tried but none of my macros seem to hold together consistantly or for very long.
Ideally what I was doing was settign a macro to find a hatchet in my bag and equip. This would account for the breakages as I could put multiple axes in my backpack. the problem I seem to run into comes when they break and the macro re-equips a new hatched, once it's equipped I get a message saying I have to equip an axe before I can use it, this despite one being equipped. I've tried adding in delays from the pick up time and the equip and double click times, something like .5 seconds but even when the macro functions properly it begins to stop working after a few rotations.
What I'm doing is placing myself in a patch of trees so I can reach for trunks. I do a circular macro that chops the four trees each once, then crafts boards, then crafts whatever item I need at that carpentry level, and then repeats itself. Has anyone else had luck running this type of macro? It's a good overnight macro because Im not keeping the resources but using them and the best part is, while slow do to respawn rates, I'm working up multiple skills. Anyone got any suggestions? I've tried it both with using the object code and object type, but nothign seems to work. I also have problems with the code workign after I've logged off even though I always place myself in the same spot within the same grove of trees.

I believe that what you are describing would be considered resource collection and not allowed under the current, limited rules on macroing. Same thing would be said of a mining + smithing macro. If you go out and do lumberjacking, then set a carpentry macro, that would be ok.

I'd say this was a grey zone and would like Derrick's feedback. Seems to me someone on one of the other forums was talking about doign the same thing and apologized for leaving behind piles of carpentered items and Derrick said it ws OK. Assuming it's OK does anyone have any insights into how to improve my stinkin' macro? I always assumed the no farming resources rule was just a nice way of saying "DONT USE EASY UO!." If you get down to it, boat mining was era acceptable. *shrugs*

Macroing resource gathering is fine as long as you're attending it. We'll often stop in and check on you. If we see you playing on one of your other accounts then you'll never even know we were there.Edie Brickell wrote:I'd say this was a grey zone and would like Derrick's feedback. So it's ok to be playing on the front account while a "bot" is macroing in the background? Is it okay to have all 3 accounts gathering at once?Derrick wrote:Macroing resource gathering is fine as long as you're attending it. We'll often stop in and check on you. As long as you're around, and as long as it's Razor that's running the macro. No other programs are allowed.Ptazaract wrote:So it's ok to be playing on the front account while a "bot" is macroing in the background? Is it okay to have all 3 accounts gathering at once?
