Fishing skill

Hello,
I am on my way to becoming a GM Fisherman, and since i have yet to get enough money to buy my boat, i am still fishing off the coast line till i have enough money. I have noticed that my skill has surpassed 75 and is now at 76.1 from the coast. I am not aware of the exact fishing rules that were in place during the second age expansion, but I thought you could only get to 75 from land, and had to go into deep water to get higher.
Was that only in place later in the games life? or is this a shard setting to allow higher skill gain from land?

I thought for sure you could GM from land, but that it was just ridiculously slow.

Thanks Fryguy, your probably right, i just was not sure if you could or not. It must have been later patches (way late in the games life) that reduced it to 75 from land.
