After DFI did a texas holdem game half the population quit and they had to remove it.


Most players gambled away ALL of the gold they had.

Nah it was bugged out and some people made like 40mil from abusing the blinds

I honestly feel like this is a legit suggestion, if its unrealistic to this shard then feel free to delete. I know this shard is all about era accuracy and thats what I really enjoy about it.And I hate uog hybrid, but the one thing i loved was the poker tables. It brought such another fun element to UO. It doesn't effect gameplay at all either, only transfers gold around. T2A era was fantastic, but the fact that we strive to have this shard exactly like one era means never any change. Nothing wrong with that but it can get stale every now and then, why not add something else for people to do? Plus maybe if its placed on top of brit bank or something it'll actually bring some "active" players to the bank. Just a thought cuz its the only thing I miss from that dreadful shard.

I played on Hybrid for awhile.....in fact, I still have 3 houses there....my question to you though is what about Hybrid do you hate so much??? I am curious to see if our reasons for leaving Hybrid are similiar.

Well it was alot of things, a couple included :

- Most unprofessional staff i've ever seen, intelligent staff and great techies, sure, but the way they treated people was awful. And it was never even directed towards me, I just saw how they responded to new players and such on forums. Major turn off. I was very impressed with professional comments from the admin here. Actually probably the first thing that made me say "this shards for me."

-PVP, I love pvp, was in MS/EQ on hybrid, and plan to pvp a good bit on this shard. But UO isn't supposed to be 100% pvp, on hybrid from the moment you began playing, it was to build your character up to get ready to pvp. You make a quick tamer (1day to make, btw, quick gains to quickly get into pvp action) and after making some gold to finish your pvper, you never log onto tamer again.

-Blessed handouts, BODs/BOD rewards, 20 tailors/smiths per person (exaggeration, but I had 8 tailors and 3 smiths, and most people had that if not more).

-Most of all, the playerbase, great quantity, horrible quality.

-Alot of other little things. Im not saying I wasnt included in all of this at some point, I played Hybrid for about 3 years. Just got old.

And back to topic, while the coding is long it could easily be ripped off from one of the other millions of shards that have texas holdem. But from all the responses I see that its a lost cause so eh, worth a try Still lovin the shard.
