Hmm, wouldn't a better idea be to send a ghost? Kill the Guildie(or have him kill himself) , have him walk through the gate, come back and he can get rez'd by you?Ronk wrote:Lol, its a low level guildy. Yeah! Then we wouldn't have to go through the trouble of spending 11 gold on reagents to get to the bank in order to access our rune books!!!

Re: Runebooks will not be blessed
Hum, my 2 cp's
1) If anyone can find an archive of the Crossroads of Britannia then one would find a treasure trove of History. At one point I thought I found some Board that had the entire C.O.B. posts archived but heck that was a lifetime ago.
2) While I seem to recall that RuneBooks and MageBooks were blessed under no circumstance will I argue about it as ... humans we tend to make memories what we want them to be, which should never be confused with what really happened.
3) I assert that "Pet Statues" were introduced prior to or during T2A because the Stable system was Global and not Localized. This lead to many cases were people would grief the Game / System by taming tons of Bunny Rabbits and filling the Global Stable System up. I seem to remember that some even "sold stable slots" by redeeming a pet for Gold. Now I have not been on long enough, as in explore things enough to know if something is already in, but I have always liked the Idea of the Pet Statues. They work by ... hum ... Right Clicking the pet and getting a choice to turn it into a statue. Double Click the statue and get a choice to turn it into a pet. Well I think it was something like that. I know the PvP/PKR's really hated this as people could carry a pet army with them and ... well really catch people with their pants down.
So, can we?
Oh, and having read all these posts and unlike Grey Wolf it did not drive me to be Mind Numbed, but I think this, if the Powers that be Powers want this shard to be more or less frozen in time then they should make it so. Any exceptions to that should be just that exceptions that they the Stewards of the shard believe will enhance the play experience of the shard and we the people should respect that, offer up our opinions (as few times as possible about a specific subject) and accept the Stewards are apparently doing something right as this Shard is still here.

Re: Runebooks will not be blessed
out of all of the second age-renascent era stuff that would be "nice to have" in second age-t2a era, blessed rune books is pretty low on the list.

Re: Runebooks will not be blessed
Just carry them in your hands, and no one can steal them (Short of killing you, but then don't carry them when AFK or Outside towns).
I would be far more concerned with Spellbook being Un-blessed personnaly. Lots of time (or money) goes into making a complete one, and you cant empty it like you can a runebook.

Re: Runebooks will not be blessed
I find it interesting that we've implemented almost everything from the nov 99 patch except the core of phase 2 (lockdowns and secures). This causes some interesting side-effects in other implementations that are imperfect. The two examples of this are incomplete co-owners (which don't get strongboxes because of the lack of phase 2) and Runebooks (which were introduced specifically for the phase 2 implementation).
While Runebooks are quite handy, and help keep rune libraries organized, I would call them NOT era-accurate in the spirit of the shard (and co-owners as well) given the stance on phase 2. Though I imagine removing them would cause a big exodus like the LOS revelation.
But yea, if they're staying, they're def not blessed. They were still not blessed come March 2000 which is well after our target date. (http://web.archive.org/web/200002291124 ... atics.com/)
Though I would say we could do with fixing the exceptional rules around the books to make it match what it should be with some variance in number of charges (currently exp books are always and only 10 charges, anything less is non-exp)

So if they aren't blessed can we make them stealable?

Runebooks are stealable via random steal (use stealing skill, target player). They're not directly stealable because they have a zero stone weight.

If you can't target it directly, then it's almost in impossible to steal... I ended up somehow successfully stealing a guys Dye tub in town and 5 other things and never actually got his runebook. frustrating.

Re: Runebooks will not be blessed
Yesterday saw a guy blessed Runebook. Asked where to get this. Replied that gave GM for about 50 bucks. I thought there should not be anything to buy for real money. But at the same time very much wanted the same So I do not know ... and sad and fun at heart.

You can rename a runebook whatever you want.... And you can type (Blessed) but that doesn't make it so... This man conned you. Luckily he didn't try and sell it to you.
