My vendor disappeared (with 100k)

I have had a vendor for a few days with about 100k worth of stuff... there have been no customers.

Now hes gone ... and so are all my stuff ... how can that be?

did you give him money to pay for his time, if you say vendor status it tells you how many days (earth and uo) that the vendor is paid for... are you sure he had enough gold?

No, I read the wiki about vendors, and there were nothing about that ... so that must be the reason ... damn, its expensive to learn ...

the command "vendor status" is your friend.

Vendors also take their pay from your bank box, so you need to have gold in your bank box for them to draw upon when business is slow. I also believe (and someone please correct this if I'm wrong) that vendors draw their pay out daily and not weekly, so when business is slow they can deplete funds quickly.

they are not funded by the gold in your bank box... you have to drop it onto them. and it is every 2 rl hours, they take out the "cost per day" amount.

Correct, they are not funding from your bank account. However, if they sell something and you don't collect the money, I'm pretty certain they will start taking from that once their allotted gold runs out.

yes, but its not much. if you're not making money off your vendor, you're doing it wrong.
