Mare tamed... but not.

Post by mfred »

Tamed a mare. Would not eat or drop but went blue and would follow/be ridden/allow name change.

Went into brit to sell. Buddy healed it of the little damage it had. Guard whacked mare.

Friend confirmed it was blue.
Very odd.

CORRECTION.

He says he wasn't try to heal the mare. Just a coincidence he cast heal at the same time.

Hello Mfred,

Couple questions for you regarding the mare:

1) What is your Animal Taming and Animal Lore at?

2) Where did you tame the mare and did it take more than 1 try?

3) What were you trying to feed the mare?

4) How many times did you give it commands that it would not follow?

-GM taming/lore
-Bridge
-1st or second attempt
-raw ribs
-appeared to follow on first command

are you thinking maybe it went wild because i couldn't feed it? odd that it would follow right away.

Without having seen it myself, that's the only conclusion I can come to. I personally don't try to do anything with mares that I tame until after I've fed them. If they were commanded to drop and didn't, this is a great indication that their loyalty (which was already low from no food), was hitting rock bottom.

In my opinion, you said "All stop" and jumped on it then rode it around. You then went into town and got off it, all while never hiding from it, and it flagged onto you. You were blue, and the guards whacked the mare because of it.

Just a guess,
