Large Game Resolution

Post by Blood »

How will affect the game having a screen resolution larger than 600x800 or 640x480. I have a 24 inch monitor that can hold resolutions way larger than 1024x768 but haven't set it up that way yet. Will I get some kind of lag because of the large space to load items or it will run optimal enough?

Thanks in advance.

My pc runs at 1920x1080 resolution, I mean the game resolution, since razor allows to modify it.

why don't you try it and find out..?

it works fine for me, i run at 1600x900. the only annoyance is the black corners that you get because uo's draw distance isn't meant to cover that big of a play area.

I think you'll have to test it out. I run 1024x768 at my work comp and don't experience that issue. At home I have a 22 inch monitor and run at something larger (maybe 1280x800 or something like that) and I do have the issue with the black corners occasionally, but it's not really much of a problem. The larger you go, the worse the black squares issue gets.

Newer clients work best for extended resolutions.

I use client version 7.0.7.1 with the UOSA map files added.
