Discord voice communication and chat program

Post by Onslaught- »

There is a new'ish voice communication program that came out called Discord that seems to be a pretty awesome program for most gaming communities. I use it for the other games I play and I can't seem to come up for a good reason not to use it for the community here at UOSA. So for that reason, i've setup a public UOSA server!

It's free. It acts as a text chat program, a voice chat program, and instant messaging program, and a way to see which of your friends are playing what other games. It's mobile friendly, you can use it through your browser if necessary, and it can be integrated into your youtube and twitch accounts as well.

You can download the application here

And once you've downloaded it, you can connect to the UOSA server here

Anyways, i've found it to be a great program and, again, a great tool for small communities like ours. Everyone is welcome to join!

Also, I can setup admin accounts for any of the UOSA devs/trustworthy vets, as well as guild ranks and private guild channels as well.

I am a fan of Discord. I've been using it to setup quick private chatting systems vs using something like Slack (which is also awesome for game communities)

I love Discord. I actually use it to run my own private League of Legends chat room.

This is already 10000x better than vent. Tested the noise cancellation, works better than skype!

I've been using this for about 2 months now. Very solid program and one of the best when it comes to integration with other programs.

Stop using garbage IRC and join us in Discord! It's only about 63x better.

I originally set this up and have passed ownership to the GM's here at UOSA, in case that was preventing anyone from wanting to join!

Discord sounds like a great idea.

It's time to move forward into the future and away from IRC.
