Re: LORE INFLUENCE TO TAMING
I've been hearing a lot of accounts, from this shard and original t2a players, that animal lore does indeed affect rate of skill gain for taming even though it is not advertised as such. I dismissed those accounts but so many people are bringing it up I have to wonder if there is something there and...

Re: I thought I've seen every scam in UO, until now.
Someone thinks they're savin' your life and they get labeled a scammer. Only in UO. Plus, didn't you know Jesus was the Avatar IRL? Totes.

Re: Lag
I've also have in-game lag spikes that I never noticed before. I didn't do enough testing to give any good evidence, so this is just my 2 cents.

Ping increases while moving?
Hello, I searched for this topic but didn't notice anything as specific as would like to get. I was checking my ping today in the command prompt and it was an average around 80 with no spikes. In-game the average is around 120 with regular spikes around 200-300 every 10 seconds or so, it's been as h...

There is a way to kill him with just one person - there is always a way. Can't wait to find out.

Re: Anatomy and Eval INT skill gain is atrocious!!
Hah, well I hardly consider something on the second page to be resurrected. That just means there is little discussion on something that is so important. It's strange that so few people care about this forum. There are all sorts of things to discuss, like skill/stat locks and why they are here. Seco...

Re: Accuracy of poison notification
Well I don't trust anything regarding UOSA to be "original" so I thought I would bring it up. I found both versions on internet searches (though the majority was as you say). Thanks.

Accuracy of poison notification
Am I remembering incorrectly or does the current notification for being poisoned switch the places of nauseous and disoriented? I remember it being "nauseous and disoriented" but the current message is "disoriented and nauseous". Have I lost my mind? Does anyone else remember?

Re: hello and goodbye
Sounds like the original poster went to all the wrong places and asked for things he didn't really need. This is a sure way to have all the "fun" described. UO weeds out the people unfit for a real fantasy world with little law enforcement. These are the same people that likely couldn't ta...

Re: Anatomy and Eval INT skill gain is atrocious!!
I have not played any other era emulation shards and I immediately noticed the skill gains were too fast here, way too fast or at least not based on difficulty to the point of being anywhere near accurate. I am not sure about the evaluating intelligence and anatomy because honestly it takes next to ...

Re: get rid of the light level filter on razor
To make one of the world's spells completely pointless is definitely a huge era inaccuracy and fairly serious issue, in my opinion. The people here just to spell their names in alternating caps and own everyone are not going to care but they aren't really fans of Ultima anyway; they just want to thr...

Re: Macroing "guards" in town
I bet there are a couple better ways to write the macro still... in terms of accomplishing said goal. By the way, most "professionals" I meet are way below the ability they should be at to compete because they simply paid for a degree and stuck it out regardless of intelligence or talent. ...

Re: Difficulty based skill gains.
One of the first things I noticed here is that skill gain, combat in particular, is much easier to gain and I no longer have to find the correct opponents to suit my skill level while raising it. This was a bit disappointing for me and made me feel like grandmaster weapons and tactics was not so muc...

Thank you, I remember the undead on Catskills along with the orcs - much fun. I likely won't be either but I am glad it's going on here.OneEyedJack wrote:Welcome to UOSA! Re: Hail thou, unto thee... and thine-selves... or whatever.
I can see how the game mechanics would always be under scrutiny and I am just thankful people care. I do intent to help out where I can with what I remember but so far I am holding my tongue on most things until I am relatively sure. I am amazed that the staff is even willing to undertake such a mis...
