Re: Hi new entry here, PvP question

It's all about how you play them. I think things are pretty well balanced imo. But no, there are no "templates" like the alchy-mage (higher explosion damage) or scribe mage (better reflects)--the goal of this shard is T2A era accuracy (emulating a particular time in UO's history). I have a...

Re: BOT Archers vs. Flamestrike Mage

:D. There aren't THAT many of us ;). I say don't waste your time with archer bots. There's a reason we are the bazookas and not the machine guns. Also, you won't be very successful with just yourself (3 clients). You'll need at least one partner in crime (for a total of 6 clients) to do some real da...

I'm not against pure mages in groups though. The bazooka brothers have many of them and find them quite useful :)

Well ya when you fire 8 ebolts at someone simultaneously they generally tend to die :-P

Re: Hi new entry here, PvP question

Only in a group. It is impossible to kill even an average player 1v1 with magery alone on UOSA. False...I kill warriors all the time this way =P yes I suppose its true that generally a warrior is defeated by a dump, but only if they 1) are not equipped (no trapped pouches) 2) don't run And 3) roll ...

Re: UO Outfit Creator: For the Trammel in us all

Very, very cool ;) I think it'd be neat if it simply popped up a new browser window--that way you #1 keep what was in there (without resorting to cookies keeping state when the user presses the back button) and #2 can compare the differences easily (possibly even include a hue summary in each window...

It would be very interesting to see what it's like to play UOSA without the cycling mechanic :)

Re: Long overdue Halberd Cycling Video Tutorial-how to get g

Given the way things are on UOSA at this time , I think it's safe to say that without a working knowledge of hally cycling, you are at a severe disadvantage in terms of PvP--hence this tutorial... which I hope nobody will ignore in spite of the philosophical arguments against it :). But hey, since w...

Re: Long overdue Halberd Cycling Video Tutorial-how to get g

Hally cycling is important to know how to do but it's not the end all be all that everyone seems to think(look at how mages have 15 mana, yet continue to dex each other down, wasting heals on damage that is quickly nullified by the hally spam anyway). In fact, trying to play more like a dexer(50% c...

Long overdue Halberd Cycling Video Tutorial-how to get good

https://youtu.be/WHgY7BpnOoI I hope to see a significant improvement in the competitiveness of new folk entering the PvP scene (and even many vets could probably do better at this mechanic than they are ;)) I think this is one of the most important skills to share with new players on UOSA so they d...
