Re: ACE ARENA PATIO

We've seen the screenshot (which has been removed along with the rest of this thread) floating around more than once, but we've never received an actual report regarding the PM itself, only the screenshot. If we're expected to take any action, I would expect that we would be provided more evidence t...

Re: Magic studded leather repairable?!?

I've checked the demo script for blacksmithy, and the demo employs a very simple set of checks to determine whether something should or shouldn't be repaired. This is the part of script that is relevant for repairing an item: #on targetobj(object user, object usedon) { cleanup(); if(Q4BL(user, "...

Re: Stealth

The current mechanic will actually allow you to attempt to stealth while you're on a mount, but if you attempt to move while you are still on the mount, you will be revealed. I'm not sure whether this is a procedural error or not, as I cannot find any client side message in the cliloc files that wou...

Re: Recall

This is something that was discussed quite a while back in 2008 or 09, and while I don't have a link handy to the discussion, evidence from both the demo, and later sources showed that this particular behavior was either short lived or never actually got implemented on OSI servers, despite the exist...

Re: Items on ground and in houses

I'm really not sure what the problem is at your location. I dropped by and tested to see if it wasn't possible to see the items and it is indeed not possible to see the items in that pouch, but only if the pouch is on that tile and you're standing on a specific tile. I did further testing with multi...

Re: Items on ground and in houses

I don't know whether there was a direct restriction on reaching items beyond a specific z axis on OSI servers, and the demo likely doesn't have anything to say about this particular matter, as the demo doesn't have item stacking (although I can test this at some point, but not at the moment). I can ...

Re: Odds and ends

1) There is a patch note to say you shouldn't be able to place houses where you can't access the steps. I can place a house on a brown rock that ignores most of the house placement rules. This is a bug with the house placement code that allows you to target ground objects like rocks and other simil...

Re: UOSA Newsletter/Forum Post News

I'll also speak with Anarcho about the possibility of adding a control panel option to receive newsletters and to add an opt-in option when signing up on the forums for that option. That way, we can send out a preliminary e-mail to all accounts alerting them of the opt-in option to receive newslette...

Re: Moongates (public & non-public)

Here's what information I have regarding the Bucs Den moongate or lack thereof: First, we have the demo information. The demo designates a total of 8 different moongate destinations as follows: Destination 1: 4467 1283 10 - Moonglow Destination 2: 1336 1997 5 - Britain Destination 3: 1499 3771 5 - J...

Karma locking was actually introduced in early 2001. As such we don't have it here.

Re: Moongates (public & non-public)

As it currently stands, there is no information that suggests that Buccaneer's Den had a moongate during T2A. Thus far, all evidence points away from that.

Re: Lumberjack Trainer

I was basing my response off of the information linked in this thread. Either way, I'll need to speak with Anarcho about this to see if we can't look at the code to fix it.

Re: Moongates (public & non-public)

Unfortuantely, there isn't really any solid information that shows that Buccaneer's Den actually received a moongate until some time during UOR. In fact, a lot of information points to the fact that it did not have a moongate until they introduced the selectable moongate system in 2001. A way to con...

Nothing has actually changed to reflect that Couldn't it be that the decline could be in part that nothing has changed? Not directing this at you specifically, but the same time period over which things have declined has also been the greatest period of inactivity development-wise (code and otherwi...

Re: bring em back

If this is true: Why can we not recall into water and into the air? This was removed for...? It was Derrick's contention that this was not possible during the era, although I have not seen any evidence that says it wasn't possible, and it is possible on the demo. I don't believe things should work ...
