Re: EVENTS GETTING CUT OUT

Exactly. Trying to make this shard as accurate as possible is the concept here. Saying that because we don't have the same staff that worked during the era or replicating brain patterns? Are you really this petty to pick apart everything, bringing up nonsensical details such as this?

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

My god you are petty. Clearly there is nothing accurate about the event system here. The custom scripts that are used here to autogenerate events never existed during the era. When we have mechanics that never existed in the era being used, there is a mechanical inaccuracy. The staff have all acknow...

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

Since you're set on ignoring the stance of the server's website and ignoring the statements made by multiple staff members here claiming that it is accepted that the events here are not accurate...instead only paying attention to your own quotes....I'll quote you, maybe you'll read that.... - Replic...

Re: EVENTS GETTING CUT OUT

You don't need to replicate all or even any particular production server during the era to still claim era accuracy. Having events with the same restrictions and limitations as they did during any portion on any part of the era, while still being different, would be accurate. Saying that because eac...

Re: EVENTS GETTING CUT OUT

Because this "known fact" is not something that the server's website, the staff, or the admin agree with. They have all admitted that these systems are not era accurate.

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

The point is...no production server ever had any of these. Again, saying that because there were differences in events between all production servers therefore we can have something here that never existed during any portion of T2A, on any server during T2A, as part of a completely custom system is ...

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

Again, you're doing nothing but trying to pick apart the issue and better define it into your own views of what you consider to qualify as accuracy. This notion that anything that wasn't shared amongst every production server justifies completely custom systems here is a huge stretch. Let's see here...

Re: EVENTS GETTING CUT OUT

I just quoted 4 posts from 3 of the server's staff, including the admin and the mainpage of the server itself, all admitting that the events here are a mechanical inaccuracy and you reply with... No, it hasn't. Insist all you want, but this is about as productive as arguing with a stubborn child. &q...

Re: EVENTS GETTING CUT OUT

The events are a policy decision, not era accuracy. Get it straight. This topic has been beaten to death, let it rest. Events have nothing to do with the mechanics of secondage, it's part of the shards policy. Quoted from the mainpage of the shard's website... We will stay as accurate to the Pre-UO...

Re: Quick question..

As said above, most of the other graveyards are safe to start out with as a new player....if you'd like to try one a little more popular, my personal favorites are Moonglow and Vesper...both will bring you closer to other players, but without a fraction of the griefers you'll find in Britain. If you...

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

1.) I already acknowledged that events are popular, and thus it can be assumed that for this reason they will be around for awhile. Not sure how we can be anymore clear on this. IT's often thrown around that UOSA makes decisions not based on popularity, but on era-accuracy, so you can see how peopl...

Agreed! Cado has come a long way from the newb I found lingering about Brit GY so long ago . I'm sure he'll make a great addition as a Veteran of the guild.

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

We always appreciate constructive user feedback; however, once a decision has been made on an issue, further debate becomes unhelpful. Naturally, we try to always listen to user feedback while staying as true to our stated intentions as possible. As it is, the events are a stated exception to the e...

Re: Updates (as of 5/19)

May 29th This last week has seen a number of new recruits join the guild. To everyone, welcome! Pirul has gotten us our own guild channel in Ventrillo. This will help tremendously in group pvp. Much thanks to Wise for adding us to the shard's vent server and thanks to Pirul for taking the initiative...

Re: Events...Accuracy vs. Policy

You guys spend FAR too much time worrying about this. I'm only going to post 2 quick thoughts on this matter. 1) This is not your server. You do not own it, pay for it, or run it in anyway shape or form. It is a free server that is hosted by several nice gents that are doing you a favor. It's also ...
