The staff will not transfer your characters here however there are people here who would help you get settled in. I would have no problem providing a home to use while you get going. Skill gain is pretty fast and you would have viable characters in no time.

Hrm, the font did not change in the pdf to the UO font. Oh well, I'll mess with that later.

So as far as the control check goes, does that mean that the person who you are transferring a pet to has to have the same level of taming as it takes to tame the creature now?

So many people complain about the PKs but so few people actually do anything about it. Yes, PKs can be a nuisance but I farm solo all the time with a bard. Lots of places to put smalls. Anything bigger will be a challenge to find. I placed a 2-story a few weeks ago so I'm sure there are some places but they might not be so obvious.
