Re: New NPC's?

This would be an example of a shard-specific event.

Re: About boats

I'd buy your Magery up, get 11 Int, and then worry about the boat. Any other protocol to get on and off your ship is asking to be exploited by bored ghosts/stealthers.

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

It's not a matter of who wins, but who loses. I'm not losing. I can't, I have nothing to lose in this argument. I enjoy the community here; it's very diverse and far less asinine than other shards. However, I played back in 1999. I don't see the magic anymore. It was fun then because 1) there were n...

Re: About boats

From what I gather, you don't need the key to sail (just gotta' be the closest to the tillerman to give the orders, I think, and whispering doesn't work from across the ship). Just keep the key in your bank and recall off of it to get aboard your ship. The only way to hijack someone's boat (using no...

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

The answer for inconsistency isn't more inconsistency though, I don't want them to add even more stuff like that. I just want the players and the admins to stick to one story, whether they start adding more to the shard or start taking things out of it. It's starting to sound like an argument with ...

Re: Plate gorgets not showing up on character sprite?

Plate gorgets didn't show up on the avatars until Third Dawn (3D client). In 2D they were never visible, like jewelry. =[

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

All I said was that screaming "FEATURE CREEP!!!" as an excuse to keep out additions while whistling and looking the other way to certain features on T2A that have NEVER existed (or are "NEA!!11!") on any OSI shard is hypocritical. Additionally, I never said they could be MADE ; I...

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

To be honest if i could find a shard that was felucca and had all the new stuff i would play it. I'm with you, for the most part, so long as it's Pre-AoS, hehe. This is the first large shard to ever stick to a guideline of t2a accuracy with absolutely no exceptions . All of the other shards that al...

Re: Water Barrels

I remember post-SE, the water barrels could only store 5 pitchers of water each. That's why we actually stacked two or three water barrels on top of one another (not literally vertically, but on the same location), so that if barrel thieves came and took one or two, there was still another in its pl...

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

Housing isn't as big a deal as you might think. Nostalgia wears off, people quit or lose interest in playing often and thus maintaining their 15 houses. It's just ugly seeing all the little huts everywhere, but there are spots for bigger houses (and plenty smaller ones), even if it doesn't look like...

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

While they are realities, there can still be a firm stance on their inclusion. Hard to post pics (or it didn't happen) in a forum about how leet your pvp skeelz are when your screens show stumps instead of trees. Granted you take them down anyhow, but if they couldn't be posted in the first place on...

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

events are a policy and not a mechanical aspect of the game events cant be accurate or inaccurate, they are a decision of the staff team to hold these events, just as it was the decision of OSI to hold the events that they, from time to time, held. how often they are held is entirely up to the staf...

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument

they weren't part of the era. What about things that were always a part of UO that are now rares? Foods, barrels, things that people have known about for over two years and not a word? What about the multi-clienting? Sure, you could multi-client, but who did you (or anyone else for that matter) kno...
