I never heard of UOA until after Trammel (or maybe even LBR) came out...
Maybe it was a Catskills thing.

Re: Acts of Kindness
There are good folks on this shard and it's too bad there aren't more of them. Glad to hear of these things it really renews my faith in UO and this community. I was getting to the point of writing this shard off as douchebag central and suffering through the daily griefing, stupidity and immaturit...

Re: addictive gaming
Y'know, we can blast people for playing WoW because the game sucks or it's boring, but really the sad part is they're hamsters in a treadmill. The "treadmill" analogy has been there since Year One for WoW, but with an increase is socio-psycho analysis of WoW (and other MMOs and gaming in g...

Re: POLL: NO Razor Allowed for One Week
I never realized UOA was so widely used back in '99. I only started using it in 2006-2007 on OSI. Kinda' gives me goosebumps thinking about it, hehe.
As for the suggestion, I'm for it just for shiggles.

Re: Wrestling and Tactics
I thought it did, but extremely slowly (I had around 99.5 Tactics when I was using it). Maybe 'cause it doesn't do much damage? I don't know how Tactics raise, but it might not raise at all with Wrestling.

Re: I survived being PK'd!; A Thread for PVM'rs
I've done the Recall/hide tactic to some effect years ago (back in 1999 - an era accurate strategy that no longer works =[). My favorite is the get para'd and boom, then get para'd and stop. In packs of two, PKers tend to cast paralyze again, waiting for the boom pouch. I just spin in place, like I'...

Re: Brush should stop movement in woods
If they were replaced with client-synonymous features that block movement, that would block movement, right? I know there have been "invisible wall" features before on other shards, particularly certain areas in Ilshenar and such on OSI. Any way to make invisible barriers, by tile or whate...

Re: Brush should stop movement in woods
I don't miss brambles blocking movement at all, but it is era-accurate, and the above suggestion seems pretty good in my opinion.

Re: This whole Era Accurate Argument
I read it, but it felt political, a mix of regurgitation of shard outlooks and goals as displayed on the front page and (to me) a brief tangent on specific matters that are extremely minor (armoires, was your example). Your recent post is far more thought provoking and interactive, in my perspective...
