Re: Guide: Townkilling AFK Macroers
Oh, Ive been town killed before. Several times. The key is to not have anything in your possesion your not willing to lose. What I hate losing the most is my 700g horse. Afk macroing in town is allowed, no reason to get all worked up over it and start a crusade against it. It is fun tho, its a chall...

Re: Lockpicking and Detecting Hidden
I am not a veteran of the lockpicking skill, this is the first time I'v ever gottn LP. I have 95 real skill and locked it. I'm not a t Hunter but pick the dungeon chests. I think, I've come accross lvl 5 chests in some dungeons. They are the only chests I can't pick on the first try. Sometimes I'll ...

Re: Lag, Hardware Upgrade, and a little bit of panhandling.
Ack! What do you mean item decay in houses? When is that gonna start? I was wondering about the secure containers in houses, I thought there were normally more but after ten years *shrug* I could be remembering incorrectly. But item decay in houses!, that could cause me and some people I know some s...

Re: MedWarrior
I agree that a medidexxer needs wrestle. But thats just my opinion based off of my playstyle. One can easily do well with med and eval, nice burst dps, but I prefer the wrestle. Here are two 3 gm builds you can look at and think about why I have them that way and how and why you would want them diff...

Re: T2A Accuracy: Progress and Discussion
Well, I have a suggestion. It isn't t2a accurate, but just a suggestion. In my opinion it will in no way adversly effect economics or pvp play styles. I would like to see 1 Mace weapon and 1 Fence weapon with comparative damage and speed to that of the Hally. This is no way changes pvp. Tank mages s...

Re: New Player
It's not too bad. I solo a lot myself. Hide stealth helps ofcourse and maybe some tracking but if it doesnt fit in your template then it doesnt help. I set up a nice escape macro, Double click your scissors then your bandages. Then retarget your macro to a recall scroll and retarget your bandages to...

Re: LockPicking
Yeah, I coulda used one box. And I actually started with one box but I couldn't get over my mental handicap that you couldn't continue to get gains on the same item. I couldn't bear the thought of 10 hrs at work and my char not gaining cause I wouldn't buy 3 more boxes. But regardless, personally I'...

Re: LockPicking
ok, I found 3 gm tinker boxes. Pre traped. What a lot of fun it was getting those open.
8 hrs of macroing and 326 lockpicks later I hit 95 skill.
So j ust under 450 lockpicks for me, and a total of about 20 hrs of macroing. I'm pretty happy about that.

Re: LockPicking
I used the 4 box method. Mainly because I squeezed another skill gain in there on a 10 second interval between the boxes. ':-) I made 4 boxes with 50 tinker skill. I started at 50 Lockpick and used exactly 116 lockpicks to cap at 72.3 skill REAL. or 76.3 skill adjusted. I started with 10 dex and sto...

Anatomy damage Q
First off, Thanks for your time and responses. Secondly, I need to clarify how anatomy works. It's been ten years since last I played UO. I am not accurately recalling how everything works plus some things are different altogether anyway. How I understand it now, Anatomy is a straight damage ratio b...

Re: tactic > 100
OK first off, thanks for feedback/info I was under the misunderstanding of how tactics worked. For some reason I had it in my head that tactics bonus damage came from the difference between your tactics and that of your attacker. For example, if I had 0 tact and my attacker had 100 I would recieve 1...

Re: tactic > 100
Excactly, I'm just wondering if i can get 90 tact and just pack around a +10 tact weapon to defend against increased damage based on tactics or do I need 100 base tact plus weapon bonus to defend against someone with a vanq weapon, or a any mob for that matter with tactics over 100 base ( if they ca...

tactic > 100
The tactics tables that I've looked at all make comparisons of a tactics value no higher than 100. I was wondering if it continues to increse/decrease damage inflicted/recieved as it scales over 100. Does it maintain the same ratio of damage for values over 100 or are there diminishing returns or is...
