Re: mining- combigning large ore with small gives medium ore

The simple way to get around this: never smelt one large pile of ore. Smelt two at a time. If you fail you lose one pile, which is no biggie, and you're left with a full pile instead of one that's split up.

Re: Question about stat locks

I've noticed this as well, and it wasn't that way on the previous shard I played. Its a minor annoyance but easily avoidable, IF you know about it.

Re: Identifying Items

Odd, I noticed this as well about two days ago. I had a container with around 40 pieces of high end magic jewelry (invis, reflect, teleport) that all became un-IDed, as well as a few other random items. It must be a bug. I thought there might be a a limit to how many items one character can ID, but ...

Ah, that explains it. No worries though. I'll just make sure I copy my long posts from now on. Nothing like having a 30 minute post ninja'd away. :D

What I'm wondering is who's gonna refresh all these ships. If no one steps on them they will decay.

That's a bummer. But at least now you get a warning in time to back up your data. And you got a killer price on that 500 gig. I guess I need to check ebay more often.

Re: Lockpicking and Detecting Hidden

You can open a level 5 map chest with less than GM lockpicking if you have detect hidden? I have GM detect hidden and 97 lockpicking. I have several level 5 maps but I've been waiting for GM picking.

Makes my wonder why I've been mindlessly leveling lockpicking...

Website is too busy to process your post

Lately when I hit preview before submitting my post I sometimes get an HTTP error saying the website is too busy to process my post (or something similar to that). It wouldn't be so bad but when I hit back the text box is empty so I lose whatever I've typed.

Re: UO3d expansion monsters are now in our game (pic)

This is an actual problem. Something on the server changed. I'm using the ML 2D client 6.0.1.10, and have been since I started playing here. I've always seen the old balron / daemon graphics until the Lich King event. All the ones from the level 5 chests that spawned after the event had the newer gr...

Re: War Ring - Click here for PvP

Either your HD is bad or it works. if it blue screening its a RAM issue. In the old days, yes. Unless it started making screeching noises you had no idea it was failing. But now, thanks to S.M.A.R.T (self monitoring, analasis, and reporting technology), the HD monitors the head height above the dis...

Fastest way to raise INT

If you've ever taken a character to 100 INT, you know its the slowest stat to raise. STR has herding, DEX has snooping. Both of those skills gain quickly and have no skill timers. Unfortunately, all the skills that raise INT either require resources (poisoning and cooking) or have a 10 second timer ...

Sorry, this one is taken. I saw this in a castle in a swamp somewhere... I believe it was the one just east of tmap spawns 94 / 95 / 96. It did look pretty sweet though, I was like WTF is that?

Keep looking. With the recent tmap patch you can't identify the map level for sure until it's dug up.
