Re: Mining Swings
Majority of "short" delays in UO have always been one second. But that's not mining. Mining never worked like other skills, it was somewhat random. I konw this doesn't necessarily nail the coffin shut on this topic, because you are right in the previous patch note for mining. It doesn't s...

Re: Mining Swings
Agreed. That patch note is not nearly precise enough to support a standard, 1 second delay.
I know for a fact that during UO:R Mining was not clockwork. I remember very distinctly enjoying getting that message on the first hit instead of the second one, etc.

Re: Mining Swings
If this is true, then why was it how I mentioned during UO:R as well, which I distinctly remember? However, this was removed and reduced down to a standard 1 second delay well before our cut off date for the era making it accurate here.

Mining Swings
Several players on the shard seem to remember that when you mined back in the day, you would swing a random amount of times, I believe between one and three, and near the end of the swing you would get the fail/success response. I distinctly remember being young and always loving getting that strike...

Re: Question about 100% success casting
I believe the only thing 'real' skill is used for is to show you where your skill points are.
For all other purposes, the adjusted skill is used.

Re: T2A Accuracy Discrepancies (with a focus on PvP)
I personally think the potion one is a fairly large concern, because back in the day you obviously wouldn't be able to use a pot without clicking it, etc., and now with Razor, chugging pots while holding a spell seems woefully out of whack with the intent of the shard. As for Gate dispelling, I reme...

Re: new spawns
If someone quit over spawns than they wouldn't be able to hack it regardless of the situation. A T2A shard isn't for everyone. That is the reason they created Trammel filled with Carebears. I hope the person finds fluffy clouds and cute fuzzy creatures in another far off land. This hardly needs say...

Misc. Typos
Hello, I've noticed a few grammar mistakes in parsing I figured I'd throw up on here for notice.
'a Order shield' should be 'an'
'a (armor type) arms'
'a (armor type) gloves'
legs, etc.
For these I'd recommend just dropping the prefix entirely.
Great job on the server, having a blast playing!

Re: food in events Derrick?
"How does making someone stuck on one tile compare to doing a little more damage with a hally?" But that's the reason they do slightly less damage, correct? So if you have any situation where people cannot run out of stamina, Swords will be at a clear advantage. The solution is a balance, ...

Re: Few possible era inaccuracies
I can chip in and say that identifying magic items was most definitely not globally revealed post UOR, because that was when I started playing, and it was like that for the entirety of my memories.
When you ID'ed an item, someone else still could not tell what it was.

Re: food in events Derrick?
If you limit the ability to regenerate stamina in tournaments, the balance becomes skewed heavily towards macers. That is the ultimate "narrow tube", in my opinion. And if you remove Stamina hit completely, then the balance becomes skewed heavily towards hally mages, because swords does m...

Moongates and other Thoughts
Hail everyone, stumbled over this shard and I'm starting out, and I'd like to say, first off, that everything is pretty incredible. It's fun to feel like a newb again, and to see everyone else wielding weapons and armor that actually make sense! I especially love how you've made all the weapons and ...
