Why are there no more global events administered by staff?

When I first started here Santa was chillin with his reindeer in Brit. Since then there hasn't been any holiday events/surprises - anything!?

Just want to find out the *official* reason - if there is one. If we're looking for more players - those little things go a loooong way!

almost everyone got boxes on our doorsteps for april fools. i even saw some scattered around town.
