repeat last typed text

Post by Budner »

The default for repeating last typed text is CTRL + Q. Unfortunately, for reasons I cannot remember or explain, I've always used CTRL + Q to use the hiding skill. Anyway ....

Is there a way to assign a different key combination (ALT + Q for example) so that I can repeat typed text? I fiddled with game options but can't find a way to do it. Thanks.

Maybe it's something set in the macros section of the options? Or did you already look there?

edit - or maybe you modified your config file?

Nah it's not in my macros. CTRL + Q is in my macros but I use that key combo for hiding.

Definitely didn't modify my config file, that's rocket surgery for me.

So, what about if you took out your Ctrl+Q for hiding, does the last typed text start working again?

I know this doesn't solve your problem, but might help to find a solution!

Yeah I think that would work but I've been hiding with CTRL+Q on and off since 1998, it's ingrained in my muscle memory and my UO survival instincts.

Goto your uo macros inside options and change it from there. Either delete it or change it to hiding because its overriding your razor hotkeys.

If you set CRTL+Q to hiding in Razor, and check the box "Pass onto UO", then I believe, the key combination will function as both your hiding macro and repeat last typed text.

Interesting. I which case I'd hide and speak at the same time which would unhide me.

I think I have to reset the macros. Thanks everybody.

It will hide and bring up the text but you will still need to press enter to speak it and will stay hidden until you do.
