calling guards as a ghost?

i didn't know if this is a bug or not, but we killed a guy in town and he was able to call guards on us as we attempted to kill his horse (no npcs for miles) i believe he even was able to command the pet from the ethereal plane as well

You should not be able to command pets as a ghost, but they will obey their previous command, including "follow"

and another tip for the newbily-newbs and even seasoned veterans:

If a person tells their animal "all stop" and "all stay" while dismounted, if that person is murdered, there is less chance that the murderers will kill their animal because their animal will retain their previous order of stop and stay and not attack the murderer.

I do this all the time, because instead of shlepping to find or buy a new ostard, I prefer just to res and claim back my previous ostard.
